Watercolor Shading Technique Tutorial

Description

The Grisaille Method is a style of painting where you draw and shaded an image and then go over it with a transparent color (in this case watercolor) to finish it off. What's cool about this technique is that you don't have to worry about shading since you already did it in the initial sketch :). Just pick a color, go over your shaded drawing with it, and walla! Your done! :) For these sketches, I literally only used a couple colors. The initial pencil drawing/shading is key in creating the image.

(Note! Try not to use pencils that smear. Otherwise they could blend in with your paint and create a muddy color)
